Sabah quotes Russian President Vladimir Putin as having defined the situation in eastern Ukraine as "on the track to civil war". Speaking two days before Ukrainian presidential elections, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the situation in eastern Ukraine was different than the Russian intervention in Crimea. The daily reports that Kiev administration called on everyone to vote for an independent and democratic Ukraine. 

Yeni Şafak says Egyptian security forces have detained 57 members of the Muslim Brotherhood. Also two addresses in Helvan and Mısru-l Cedide regions have been raided and 11 people were detained. 

Zaman says UN Security Council blacklisted Al Qaeda affiliated Boko Haram terror organization in Nigeria. The decision came 5 weeks after the abduction of 250 schoolgirls in the country. A series of sanctions are expected to be imposed against Boko Haram organization. 

Milliyet says corruption indictments have been directed against politicians and wealthy people in China. Mining conglomorate Hanlog's owner Liu Han and his brother have been sentenced to death for leading a crime gang. 

Also the properties of the two brothers have been seized by the government, says the daily. 

Hurriyet says an Iranian group called "Hezbollah Students" have applied to the court demanding Iranian actress Leyla Hatemi, who kissed the Chief Jury in Cannes Film Festival be whipped in public and imprisoned.

Chief Jury Gilles Jacob said there was no bad intention in their greeting-kiss and that it was quite a natural western gesture.
